We went to Ikea in Maryland on Saturday. Then we headed over to white marsh mall where K, John, and JT did a scavenger hunt in the Disney Store.
and on the drive home we stopped to check out what the historical lock 12 area was.
Its a canal that was built back in the 1830's and there were still original walls standing where the canal used to be.
K standing in front of an old Lime Kiln (which has been restored) from the 1800's.
K checking out the canal
Looking down into the old canal.
The warning sign about the sirens and the sudden rise in water level. This was at the River, but just above here is a damn. K was a little concerned about hearing and siren. We reassured her it was not going off and we were safe.
Little water falls
Heading back to the car.
