First thing we did was head over to the waterpark. We knew there was a chance of showers and storms after lunch. We were actually impressed with how Hershey managed to make the most of the small space they had to put in a pretty decent water park. The wave pool was quite impressive to me. I couldn't understand how they put one in and expected it to be really small. Kudos to the engineers and designers of the Boardwalk at Hershey!
K LOVED the wave pool. She put on a swim vest and played down in the waves. It was quite funny cause the waves were every 10 minutes. She would count down the 10 minutes when it was calm and then JT would could down the 10 minutes until it ended. Very different feelings about the wave pool.
JT preferred to be held while there were waves and then when they stopped he played in the water where he could stand.
Then JT was done and K wanted to go check out the other play area's. We got out of the wave pool and started to head over to the other area when the announcement came over stating that there was a potential for inclement weather in our immediate area. None yet, but it was coming. So Kenzie instead wanted to get dressed and find shelter. Right as we walked in the changing room, they closed the water attractions. After we got dressed, John showed up who had been waiting to go on a water ride and it was almost his turn when they closed it. We started to walk around and then it started to get windy and raining a little. It was time to take shelter. We waited with a bunch of other people by the changing rooms.
It had finally passed, JT had fallen asleep while we were waiting.
We had lunch, then headed for more rides!
On the Kissing Tower. This ride goes way too high for me.
We went over to Zoo America. Isn't it amazing all these zoo animals and what are we checking out?
Ducks and Geese!
Finally we went over to ride the monorail, the only thing JT had wanted to do all day. There was only one running, so the wait was a little long. We waited about 30 minutes. But it made a very happy little boy : )
JT liked the mini scrambler. K was just small enough to ride. She is on the line between a Reese's Cup and a Hershey Bar.
and then the kids rode the mini carousel 2 times.
Then off to dinner where we ran into a school friend of K's.
And while eating dinner, we see a baby bunny in the garden.
Of course we have a backyard with bunnies,
but they are always excited when they are babies!
After dinner, back to the water park. This time we did the kid section, since big water play area had been closed ALL day. The water was cold.
JT did awesome telling me he had to go poop. He got out of the water and then told me he had to. He doesn't go on the potty yet, but he listened to his body and knew what to do. BIG STEP!
Finally we headed over to ride the train, the other ride JT wanted to do, but the wait was really long AGAIN. Turns out the train broke down. So we bribed him with chocolate world ride and candy. Then headed home.
It was raining and lightning on the way home. I used the video to capture the lightning.

We had a GREAT day.
It looks like a great day. I've got to go play in the Water Park too (when I am not 9 months pregnant! LOL!)
