Disney Christmas Carol train

We went down to Baltimore to see the Christmas Carol train, which has been making its way around the country for a few months promoting the new movie coming out in November. I have had this on our calendar for awhile now, but a family get together ended up being scheduled the same day. Family events are more important to us than recreation, so I had thought we would miss it. But it worked out for us, 2PM was the family event, leaving us time to get down to Baltimore and back in time! We had heard that this train gets pretty crowded so we wanted to get down there really early. We left the house at 6:30 am. It takes and hour and half to get there and we stopped to get breakfast. We ended up being first in line, but as time went on you could see quite a line forming. Good thing we got there early. The train was at the B & O railroad museum, so we got to visit the museum while we were there.
The train was neat cause it talks about how the movie was made. Turning live humans into animated characters was pretty cool to see. We got to morph ourselves into characters from the movie, we got to see props from the actual movie too. After the train we got to see a sneak peek of the movie. The kids didn't seem to enjoy it (3-D isn't something they enjoy and they don't like anything loud either). So John and I plan to go see it next month when it comes out. They had this inflatable theater

Now onto some more pictures....

You can see the sensors and equipment the actors wore when filming the movie so they could be turned into animated characters.
