Superload

Well not many people can say they get to see a superload roll through their county. Its the type of thing you only see on TV. Well we have one going through Lancaster County this month (it travels at 2-3 miles per hour!) The generators, each 510 tons and seven stories tall, were mounted on special transporters, each with 54 wheels and three drivers who individually control each of the 26 axles.

If you look and see the bright orb of a light walking past, that is the police officer walking. Just to show you how large it is.

They draw quite a crowd! And this was just one section!
********

One word describes it.
Amazing.

  1. It moves SLOW! Is it going on the highway? How do they get that thing to turn? Man, I wish I could be there to see it!

  3. Eric's Father works on those motors hehe! Eric isn't sure if that is one he worked on but would of been cool if it was. Eric's Trucking company moves those loads. He jsut recently helped load some stuff like that on an airplane. I have photos.
